Our Sunshine Coast massage courses focus on the practical application of therapeutic massage and we emphasize hands-on training with everything you learn being applicable, and necessary to become an expert massage practitioner.

Brandon Raynor's School of Natural Therapies has been offering our Certificate and Diploma courses in the Raynor Technique of Therapeutic Massage since 1999. Starting off in Bondi Beach, Sydney and now teaching on the Sunshine Coast, we have now become a worldwide school that has helped thousand of potential massage therapists start their new career.

The secret to the success of the courses that we run is that we make our courses fun, very hands on, transformative, not very long and drawn out and the courses are affordable too!

Plus we teach a very powerful style of massage that encompasses the best of the major styles of massages available around the world.We include techniques from Remedial massage, Swedish Massage, Therapeutic Massage, Shiatsu, Thai massage, acupressure and deep tissue massage as well as Ayurvedic breathing techniques into one comprehensive style.

Anyone completing our massage courses in Australia are fully able to practice afterward, to set up their own business or work as they see fit.

They will also be able to get fully comprehensive medical malpractice insurance after completing the course.

These two massage courses are also useful for those wanting to get Australian Government qualifications. Our Certificate Course is recognised by Health Schools Australia as way above government standard for all of the practical aspects of their Government accredited Certificate IV in Remedial Massage. Therefore they give Recognition of Prior Learning for all of the practical aspects of that course and students would just have to complete the theory componens such as anatomy, business studies and ethics. Many students with previous health qualifications may also be exempt from these subjects and be able to receive their CERT IV right away, after completing our course

If a student completes our Diploma of Raynor Massage they will be exempt from all the practical massage components of the Government accredited Diploma of Remedial Massage with our partner school Health Schools Australia. The benefits of studying our course in association with them is that as Stephen Eddy, the principal of Health Schools Australia, and a committee member of the Australian Traditional Medicine Society, has publicly said, our training is way above government standard, which is why he is happy to give Recognition of Prior Learning for all of our subjects.This means that you will be able to complete our course and immediately get covered by insurance companies for malpractice etc, while then completing the rest of the course with Health Schools Australia, entirely by correspondence, In addition, you would then be able to receive study for the costs of the rest of Health Schools Australia's course so then eventually when you complete the theory subjects with Health Schools Australia you will then have government recognised qualifications, which will enable you to give clients Health Care Rebates. In addition, if you are already a nurse or other health practitioner, you will probably be exempt from all the theory as it is mostly anatomy and physiology, practice management, occupational health and safety etc so you could then complete our Diploma course and be exempt from possibly all or almost all, the theory subjects and then receive your Australian Government Diploma of Remedial Massage right away from Health Schools Australia. The combination course is actually the best priced way on the market to get you qualifications, as well as offering the highest quality level of training as Stephen Eddy has confirmed.You are also dually qualified in both a government recognised qualification and an internationally recognised private qualification.

Health Schools Australia has also International Accreditation so that students from other countries can also get recognised for skills based training that they have completed between our two colleges. For example, in Hawaii, Brandon was able to get his license for massage therapy merely by showing that he had completed his Diploma of Remedial Massage with Health Schools Australia in 1991. So, many US states may also recognise qualifications from overseas and you may be able to study with our two colleges in order to get licensed. We are presently researching this further.

After many years of dabbling in home massage for my friends and family, I finally took the plunge and resigned my job with a view to increasing my skills and making a career as a Massage Therapist. To say I was nervous is an understatement. I have worked in the banking and office Administration area for nearly 30 years so a career change at this time in my life is needless to say - daunting!

After researching many web sites, reading many testimonials and forever doubting myself, I was drawn to Chamomile Massage Centre and the Raynor Method massage. Not only because it offered an "Intensive Course" but the testimonials on the site gave me the confidence to pursue my ambition.

On entering the centre, myself, along with 4 other very nervous students were put totally at ease by both John and Kathie. We were all of similar age (except Allison) and all had our own reasons for being ready to discover more about the Raynor method. Allison, very smartly, took the opportunity to "try out and experience" one of John's unique massages and I would recommend this to all future students.

From the very outset John explained, demonstrated, explained and demonstrated again a completely new and innovative method in massaging our tired, aching bodies. He found many points that we were unaware of even existed. We released a lot of tension (heaps and heaps of tension for some of us) and began to be more confident in treating each other. We drew very lovely Reflexology charts on each others feet (which helped me to remember) and had great pleasure in giving John some of his own medicine.

The admiration from our little class to John to continue to teach and give us a complete course through their time of loss & grief was unquestionable. Such a strong bond was formed in such a short time and I am sure that we have all made new and long term friendships.

To anyone even remotely thinking about taking this course - DO IT!! If you never have paying customer, you will have a much better knowledge and understanding of your own body let along anyone else's.
