Massage Training Requires Practice

Massage therapy training contains the important word ‘training’. Training is often understood as repetition of an action so as to develop or maintain one's skill. But Raynor Massage therapy school does not teach massage routines over and over again. Instead, we train our student’s senses to understand the needs and reactions of each individual client.

There are no recipes for massage treatments. Each person is different. Under the complete supervision of our highly qualified massage teachers, you will learn how to apply every one of the many unique Raynor massage techniques in any given situation.

We know from experience that you can only learn that by practicing. You learn by giving massages, receiving massages and by watching teacher demonstrations. Massage therapy training means, ‘learning by doing’.

"Best course for practical learning I have ever attended… fantastic 2 weeks! It really shows how much the brain can assimilate in 2 weeks."
Elliot Lemmon,
Auckland Massage Course 2005

"I loved the mix of different types of massage used to develop Brandon's style. The hands on demonstrations were great!!! We learned a lot. Overall the class was excellent."
Seiley M
Bozeman, Montana - Massage Class 2005

You can’t learn this from a book, a video or even a weekly massage lesson.

Nothing can be more frustrating than finishing a massage course and feeling that you haven’t gained much or that you are insecure and ill equipped to embark on that new massage career that you just trained for!

This is why our massage therapy training is organized in an intense massage seminar over 5 or 10 days. It helps our students to fully immerse themselves in the contents of our massage courses.

We have compared students from 1 year evening massage therapy training and 10 day intensive courses and have observed that the students from the intensives are always more enthusiastic, easier to train and more successful in their professional careers as massage therapists.
