Maureen Abson – Massage Instructor

Maureen Abson is a particularly dedicated individual that has been working closely with Brandon Raynor since early 2008. Maureen now travels extensively around the world teaching courses, and working with Brandon in managing the school and also assists on advanced practitioner courses whenever possible.

Maureen also runs a busy Raynor massage practice in the North of England where she is booked out for months in advance. Maureen has extensive teaching experience having previously worked in education both teaching in the classroom and in training high school teachers. She brings this knowledge and experience and a warm and caring attitude, along with a good English sense of humour to her massage classes.

When I first meet Maureen she came to our massage class having never even had a massage before in her life. From being a nervous and shy student, Maureen, through her incredible enthusiasm to learn everything she possibly can about Raynor Naturopathic massage and other healing arts she has become a very powerful practitioner and teacher and often massages me. She has a gifted intuitive nature and a powerful technique that can switch from incredibly strong massage to nurturing empathy. She has been on her own healing journey and I have seen her grow incredibly as a human being over the years that I have known her. She is capable of dealing with a full range of human emotions and I give her the highest endorsement as the principal of the school.

She has travelled extensively and is quite capable of working in many different cultural settings although I still find it occasionally hard to understand her Northern English accent.
